Obituary of Marilyn Santacroce

Marilyn Santacroce, age 69, a lifelong Bridgeport resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her devoted family. Born in Bridgeport on July 9, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Olga Lantowski Santacroce. Marilyn was an office manager for over 40 years with Dr. Fichera DDS. She was a member of the Bridgeport City Council; then was a District Town Leader and went on to work with the City of Bridgeport on the Planning and Economic Development committee. She enjoyed taking trips with her lifetime friend of 60 years, Annette and spending time with Denise.

But her greatest joy was her family and her dog Jake. She had a wonderful relationship with her son Joey and her grandchildren, JP and Devin. Some of her favorite things were spending her weekends with the boys and creating memories to last a lifetime. She was truly the best mother, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving son, Joey Santacroce and his wife Nicole, cherished grandchildren, JP and Devin, a brother John Santacroce, a sister, Jean Perillo, nieces and nephews, Jason, John, and Elaine, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her boyfriend and longtime companion Dennis Scinto who was a special father figure to Joey as well as her Godson Anthony.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport with Reverend Peter Cipriani celebrating.
