Obituary of Carmella M. Pellegrino

Carmella Manzo Pellegrino, age 84, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Michele Pellegrino, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on July 16, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Gennaro and Michelina DiZenzo Manzo. Carmella was a retired bookkeeper for Chase Bank.

She was a loving and devoted wife, sister and aunt. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and was at her best when entertaining company at her home, and like her sisters, loved to shop. She loved unconditionally and will be missed by all.

In addition to her loving husband of 52 years, Michele, survivors include her brother-in-law, Antonio Pellegrino and his wife Rocchina of Castelfranco in Miscano, Italy, her sister-in-law, Ann Manzo, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, both in the U.S. and Italy. She was predeceased by brothers, Carmen, Samuel, Anthony, Angelo and Richard Manzo and sisters, Adeline Damiano, Grace Nobile and Vera Porco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Entombment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday 1 - 4 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org
