Obituary of Carol A. Gallagher

Carol A. Gursky Gallagher, age 77, of Orange, passed away peacefully at her home surround by her loved ones on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Gallagher. Born in Bridgeport on April 4, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Amelia Gursky.

Carol was a graduate of St. Cyril Commercial High School. She was a homemaker and the mother of seven beautiful children who she treasured endlessly, creating with each one a unique and exceptionally loving relationship. She was a devout Catholic, who prayed daily for the protection, guidance, and health of her family and loved ones. Proud of her Polish heritage, she enjoyed cooking dishes that her grandmother and mother would make her, like golabki, kotlety, and kolaczkis.

Carol will leave behind six loving children, Emily and Donna Gallagher, Richard, Anthony (Lina), John and James (Mary) Gallagher, four cherished grandchildren, John, Shane, Jessica and Lauren and a precious great grandson, Ryan, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Michael, granddaughter, Shannon, four brothers and sister.

A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Carol will be interned in Mount St. Peter Cemetery in Derby, next to her beloved husband, son, and granddaughter. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
