Obituary of Gail Anne Sullivan

Gail Anne Sullivan, age 70, of Bridgeport, CT beloved wife of Richard Warga passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Gail was born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Tonawanda, NY until she left to attend college at Concordia College in Bronxville, NY. Upon graduating, she pursued a career in teaching at Zion Lutheran School in Bridgeport, CT. After teaching for a while, she attended Katherine Gibbs in Norwalk, CT receiving a secretarial certificate and attaining a position with Carpenters Local 210 Apprenticeship and Training Department where she worked for 10 years. She then went on, with others, to start a Youth Rebuild program in conjunction with Bridgeport Housing Authority helping disadvantaged youth, later moving the program to work with Habitat for Humanity. Gail also worked as the facility manager for Calvary Baptist Church in Trumbull, CT where she was actively involved in Operation Christmas Child. She finished her career as warehouse manager for the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, finally retiring.

Gail was predeceased by her brother Robert (Bob) Sullivan. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind nephews Michael Sullivan of Fairport, NY, Sean Sullivan of Phoenix, AZ, Adam Sullivan of Dover, Delaware and niece, Jill Sullivan. She also leaves her adopted family, Barbara and Frank Bridge and their children and grandchildren. Gail was happiest spending time with family and making plans for a vacation or a weekend trip trying to put the most in three days. She always looked forward to the next trip and had good suggestions for them. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A walk-through visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 4 – 7 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. A Prayer Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
