Obituary of Jean S. Revere

Jean Scott Willis Revere, age 78, of Shelton, beloved wife of 61 years of Charles Revere, entered into eternal rest peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, May 13, 2021. Born in Bridgeport on September 15, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Christine (Scott) Willis. Jean had been employed by the City of Bridgeport Public Health Department where she worked as an administrative assistant for many years before her retirement. Jean was very active with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren until the onset of her illness. She enjoyed camping, trips to the casino and her laugh and smile was contagious. She enjoyed snow birding for several winters with her dedicated husband, who lovingly and unconditionally cared for Jean and was by her side throughout her illness. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her beloved husband Charles, survivors include her loving children, Charles Revere Jr., Ronnie Revere and his wife Michele and Peggy Ann Merdinger and her husband Chuck, cherished grandchildren, Charles Revere III and his wife Nicole, Brian Revere and his fiancé Jill Frier, and Chris, Alex and Georgia Merdinger, great grandchildren, Mekenzie, Alexis and Gavin Revere as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Blagadotny, Brenda Renzulli, APRN, Amy Whalen LPN and Dr. Robert Fishman for the great care and compassion shown to Jean and her family through these trying times. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Face masks and social distancing will be required. Entombment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
