Obituary of Antonio (Tony) Carlos Morgado

Antonio (Tony) Morgado, age 47, of Trumbull, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Born in Chaves, Portugal on June 4, 1973, he was a son of the late Albino DeJesus Morgado and Ivone Pereira Morgado.

A hardworking and proud man, Tony was currently employed with Burns Construction Co. as a truck driver. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and lived life to the fullest. But most importantly, he was a loving son, brother and uncle with a heart of gold. He valued time with his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him

Survivors include his loving sisters and brother, Alice Sousa (Fernando), Helena Pires (John), Fernanda Morgado, Maria Fatima Antunes (Joe) and Fernando Morgado, sisters-in-law, Ana Morgado and Michelle Morgado; aunts and uncles, Idalina Barreira, Fatima Vinhais, and Antonio Pereira, as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and many cherished friends. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his brother José Morgado and brother-in-law Freddie Hernandez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. A walk-through visitation will take place on Friday from 4 – 7 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492, www.americanheart.org.
