Obituary of Elvira Porco

Elvira Manzo Porco, age 89, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Ernest C. Porco, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born on July 24, 1931 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Gennaro and Michelina DeZenzo Manzo.

She enjoyed dancing with her beloved husband and traveling with her family to places like Napa Valley, Aruba, Florida, Italy, and Caribbean Cruises. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She treasured when the family was all together, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passion was cooking and trying out recipes from the Food Network. When her family got together, she would make enough food for everyone to take home for the week. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Elvira will be deeply missed by all.

She was predeceased by a daughter Candice Palange, two grandchildren, Janel Palange and Jordan Porco, brothers, Angelo, Carmen, Anthony, Samuel and Richard Manzo and sisters, Adeline Damiano and Grace Nobile. Survivors include, her loving daughter, Dawn Cataldo and her husband Robert of Milford, a son, Ernest Porco of Naugatuck, son-in-law, Daniel Palange of Naugatuck, six grandchildren, Jessica Howell and her husband Jason, Jason Cataldo, Justin Cataldo and his wife Valerie, Joshua Cataldo, Jenna Ireland and her husband Peter and Taylor Porco, nine great grandchildren, Jalyssa, Amber, Alyssa and Alaina Howell, Anthony Simko, Brayden and Amelia Ireland, Casey and Collin Cataldo, a sister, Carmella Pellegrino and her husband Michael of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Due to the concerns at this time associated with social gatherings, all funeral services and interment will be held privately for the immediate family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
