Obituary of Joan A. Grabowski
Joan Ann (Landock) Grabowski, age 94, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Peter C. Grabowski, Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation, Fairfield. Born in Fall River, MA on July 9, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Musial) Landock. Joan had worked in various capacities over the years for General Electric as an IBM comptometer operator and also for Jenkins Brothers, where she met her husband. She later worked at ITT Continental Baking and most recently had worked as a pari mutuel clerk for Bridgeport Jai Alai, where she built many friendships. A woman of great faith, Joan was a devoted parishioner at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Bridgeport for many years and also attended Our Lady of Good Council. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed trips to the casino, Saratoga Springs and horse racing. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her three loving children, Peter C. Grabowski Jr and his wife Ellen of Bradenton, FL, Susan Nolan of Trumbull and Barbara-Ann Zuzick and her husband Joseph, Jr. of Shelton, five cherished grandchildren, Anna Paridee and her husband Kevin Jr of Cumming, Georgia, Catherine Zuzick and her fiancé Tim Fasano of Windsor Locks, Joan Zuzick-Carrion and her wife Crystal of Palmetto, FL., Peter C. Grabowski III of Tampa, FL and Meghan Grabowski of Bradenton, FL, four adored great grandchildren, Shane, Avery, Charlotte and Colin Paridee, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Matthew Landoch and Theodore Landock and sisters, Stella, Mary, Phyllis and Jerry Landock.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 310 Pulaski St., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Arrangements have been entrusted to Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
