Obituary of Gabriella M. Piccirillo

Gabriella "Ella" Mary (Tecca) Piccirillo, age 90, of Trumbull passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Gabriella was born in Bridgeport, on October 19, 1930 to the late Dominick and Mary Tecca. She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1948. Gabriella married John M. Piccirillo Sr. on May 12, 1951. She worked for General Electric in Bridgeport as a Payroll Clerk for many years. Gabriella enjoyed watching Nascar races, football games, golf tournaments, feeding the neighborhood animals, and spending time with her family.

Gabriella is predeceased by her husband, John M. Piccirillo Sr.; and her daughter, Teresa "Teri" Piccirillo DeZenzo. Gabriella is survived by her children, John M. Piccirillo Jr. and his wife Lisa of Milford; her daughter Lisa George of Ansonia; sons-in-law Albert "Buddy" DeZenzo Jr. of Stratford; John George of Ansonia; her sister, Chris Fuimara of Trumbull. Gabriella was fondly known as Noni to her granddaughters: Amy DeZenzo Matto and her husband Matthew of Lynnwood, WA; Alicia Martoni of Ansonia; Christina "Tina" DeZenzo Ziobro and her husband John III of Naugatuck; Jessica George of Ansonia; and great-grandsons Alexander "Alex" Capeles; Logan Ziobro; William and Anthony Matto. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews along with many other family and friends.

A mass of remembrance for Ella will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, December 29th in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will directly follow at Long Hill Burial Grounds in Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, those that wish to remember Ella in a special way may make a donation in her memory to The American Brain Tumor Society or the ASPCA.
