Obituary of Florence M. Rocco

Florence M. Dinan Rocco, age 98 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Stanley Rocco, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. Born on April 20, 1922 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Celina Feley Dinan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Florence is survived by her beloved daughter Joanne Rocco, adored grandchildren Andrea Rocco and Dana and Tom Urbon, loving daughter-in-law Doreen Rocco as well as many loving and special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Stanley of 60 years, she was predeceased by her son Peter Rocco, sisters Irene Dinan and Ruth Fisher, brothers Joseph Dinan and Edward Dinan and many beloved in-laws.

Florence was cherished beyond measure by immediate and extended family and her greatest joy was being surrounded by her loving family and friends. Friday Night Pizza Nights won't be the same without "Auntie Flo", but we will carry on the tradition she loved so much.

The family would like to thank her caregiver Cherry Marin and neighbor Douglas Suich for their loving support and care of Florence in her final years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1:00 PM directly at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will immediately follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. All those attending are asked to practice social distancing and to wear a mask. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
