Obituary of Dacia Knopick

November 14, 2008 Retired School Teacher Dacia Pixley Knopick, age 71, of Trumbull, a retired educator for the Stratford Board of Education, died on Friday, November 14, 2008. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Vera Radachowsky Pixley. She taught the 4th grade at Second Hill Lane School and the 3rd grade at Nichols School for over 30 years. She was a member of the Greater Bridgeport Retired Teachers Association and had also volunteered at St. Vincent Medical Center. She previously operated Tours by Dacia as well as other affiliations. Survivors include her loving son, John W. Knopick and her fiance John Delorme both of Bridgeport, an aunt and uncle, Derith and John Hutchko of Fairfield and several cousins. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. in Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
