Obituary of Catherine A. Klopfer

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Catherine A. Buckley Klopfer, age 62, of Beacon Falls, beloved wife of William J. Klopfer, died peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2011 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Born in Bridgeport on June 2, 1949, she was a daughter of the late William O. and Frances Vanzetta Buckley. Catherine attended Bassick High School and then went on to graduate from Leons School of Hair Design. She was the office manager for Ernies Heating and Cooling Co. of Bridgeport for several years. An accomplished writer, she was proud to have authored a book of poems on life, love and emotions entitled, Kaleidoscope. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband of 39 years, William, survivors include a son, William E. Klopfer and his wife Lisa of Bethel, three daughters, Stacey Marie Musbek and her husband Frank of Ansonia, Terri Ann McGrath and her husband James of SC and Kelly Furlo and her husband Michael of Beacon Falls, eight grandchildren, one great grandson, two special nieces, Patricia Anderson of Milford and Doreen Delaney of NC, cousin, Donald Abbott and his wife Gloria of FL, as well as several additional nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by three brothers and a sister. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday September 28, 2011 for graveside committal services.
