Thank you Joe for being my friend of 52 years going way back to 1968. You and Marion invited me into your family with loving care.You were brother and sister to me and then to Pat, my wife. How we treasured our many visits over the years.You raised 4 great kids, Jim, Maryann, Virginia and my name-sake Dina - now all productive adults and loving parents themselves. I will miss our visits with you at Benchmark and our many cigars together gabbing about the hapless Mets.You were and remain for me one of life's great gifts, a true friend and companion through many chapters of our long lives. I would like to share with all of Joes family just how very very fond I was of him! He was without a doubt one of the most incredible men I’ve ever met and made coming to work a treat. I had the privilege of helping and getting to know him over the past three years I’ve been an RCA at Benchmark and I will cherish him and our talks forever. I feel very blessed that I got to see him one last time when I went to go visit him at the nursing home. He will forever be in my heart and my memories. My prayers out with your family at this time. Dear Dina, Virginia, Jimmy and Marianne, we are so saddened at Dad’s passing but rejoice in a life well lived and happy to know he is back with Mom and enjoying heaven. He has probably organized a singing group already! Wonderful that he can see and hear and walk again.
