Obituary of Robin A. Santiago

Robin A. (Baker) Santiago, age 64 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Joseph Santiago, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on December 12, 1954 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Francis Baker and Dorothy Blaner Baker of Bridgeport. Robin worked for many years at Cambridge Manor as a Registered Nurse. She took great pride and joy in her family, especially the love she shown for her grandchildren. She loved the holidays, and always saw the beauty in every little thing in life. Robin and Joe spent their honeymoon in Lincoln, NH, and since then the White Mountains became her favorite vacation spot for her entire life. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her mother Dorothy, Robin is survived by her three children, Joyce Croteau and her husband Alfred of Stratford, Thomas LaConte and his partner Joe Leck of Bridgeport, and Jennifer LaConte and her fiancé Alex Hatzikostas of Stratford, her five grandchildren, Hunter, Olivia, Adriana, Riley, and Leo, and her brother Robert K. Baker and his wife Rosemary of Huntington. Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
