Obituary of Encarnacao Frazao

Encarnacao Fragoso Frazao, age 86 of Trumbull, beloved wife to the late Jose Amado Frazao, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born on August 30, 1932 in Alcobaca, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Maria Da Conceicao Fragoso. Prior to retirement, she worked many years for the SPD department of St. Vincent's Medical Center. Encarnacao was a very devout woman, going to church daily and watching the EWTN channel when she could not. She spent her free time gardening and providing fresh vegetables for everyone in her neighborhood. Above all, family was her life, and nothing gave her more pleasure than hosting parties at her house surrounded by her family. Encarnacao was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her. Encarnacao is survived by her beloved three children, Maria F. DeSousa and her husband Severino of Trumbull, Arlindo Frazao and his wife Regina of Trumbull, and Alzira Gray and her husband Sam of Bridgeport; her 7 adored grandchildren, Rui Braz and his wife Carminda, Christopher and Mathew Frazao, Brian Frazao and his wife Kelly, Diane Jager and her husband Aaron, Jessica Mota and Joshua Gray; her cherished great grandchildren, Kaitlin Braz, Noah and Brooke Frazao, and Zackery and Hunter Jager; and her loving brothers and sisters, Fernando Fragoso, Amaro Ribeiro, and Hortence Frazao. In addition to her beloved husband Jose, Encarnacao is predeceased by her brother Joao Fragoso and her sisters Maria Tereso, Maria Bento, and Acacia Lopes. The family would like to thank the ER staff and seventh floor nurses and aides of St. Vincent's Medical Center for their kindness and excellent services. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial.
