Obituary of Philip M. DiBecelle

Philip M. DiBecelle, age 77, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Eileen Robidoux DiBecelle. Born in Bridgeport on September 12, 1941, he was a son of the late Michael and Catherine Sarni DiBecelle. Mr. DiBecelle was an electrician by trade, running his own company for a time and also as a longtime member of the IBEW Local Union. Phil was a true jack of all trades and could fix almost anything. He loved listening to Frank Sinatra and was an avid New York Yankee supporter. He also found great enjoyment tending to his garden or working in his yard. He will be missed greatly as a longtime, loyal employee of Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, where he spent 18 years as a parking lot attendant, bearing the extreme elements of heat, cold and rain. A loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 60 years, Eileen, other survivors include his loving children, Debra Moura and her husband Silvestre of Shelton, Michelle Zack and her husband Timothy of Weston and Michael DiBecelle and his wife Robin of Richmond Hill, GA, his four cherished grandchildren, Amy DiBecelle, Michele Moura, Danielle Moura and Julia Zack, his adored great grandson, Scott Wachter, his brother, Raymond DiBecelle of Shelton and faithful canine companion, Dolly. Phil was predeceased by his son, Scott A. DiBecelle.
