Obituary of Michael J. Macisco

Michael J. Macisco, age 76, of Oxford passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Yvonne (Ronnie) Guariglia Macisco. Born in Hell’s Kitchen, New York on January 25, 1942 he was a son of the late James and Ann Dunn Macisco. Michael was the Owner of Keys Plus, formerly of Bridgeport and the President of Bridgeport Coin Collectors Association for many years, where he built many lasting friendships. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and was an avid shark fisherman who enjoyed the open ocean beyond words. The waves of the ocean leave a special meaning now to so many.  His love for being on the sea and boating is where he was affectionately known to many as “Captain Mike”.  He was a lifetime member of Pequonock Yacht Club in New Haven and currently the Dock Master at Move Yacht Club in Bridgeport.   He was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle and Friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Ronnie of 52 years, other survivors include his loving daughter, Robin Macisco Harrington and her husband Paul of Shelton, his two cherished grandsons, Paul A. Harrington of Oxford and Christian M. Harrington of Shelton, his sisters, Betty Costanzo of Middlebury and Ann Marie Serriani of Ansonia, his brothers, Paul Macisco of Georgia and Leonard Macisco of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter Macisco and his brother-in-law, James Guariglia.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Road, Monroe. Friends may greet the family on Monday, January 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
