Obituary of Maria Verrelli

Maria (Marietta) Verrelli, age 89, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Rocco Verrelli. Born in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy on February 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Aurrelia Verrelli. Maria worked as a seamstress for Lee’s Curtains for over 30 years before her retirement. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who always put her family and the needs of others before her own. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving children, Ornella Palmieri and her husband Roberto and son, Carlo Verrelli, all of Trumbull, brother, Alberto Verrelli, brother-in-law, Bartolomeo Verrelli and his wife Nancy, two grandchildren, Danielle and David Palmieri.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
