Obituary of Cynthia M. Cortigiano

Cynthia Mae Cortigiano, age 91, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Dan Cortigiano passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford, CT. Born in Bridgeport, CT on December 4, 1926, she was the daughter of George Sr. and Sadie Rodgers Romer. Cynthia graduated from Harding High School. She worked for The Thermostat in Bridgeport and later became "Lead Lady" for assembly when the company Robertshaw moved to Milford, CT. Cynthia retired when Robertshaw moved out of state. She along with her husband Dan were NY Giants football fans and went to all the home games for many years. Cynthia loved working outside on her lawn and garden which she maintained up until last year.

She is survived by her nephews and nieces George Romer and his wife Judy, Janis Kelsey and her husband Phil, Dan Cortigiano and his wife Lorrie, Noreen Davis and her husband Bob and Frank Cortigiano Jr., grand nieces and nephews including Cindy Romer, Sherri Pulie and her husband Chris, Jeffrey Kelsey and Jennifer Kelsey, as well as additional nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her husband, Cynthia was predeceased by her brother George Romer, Jr.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. Relatives and friends may greet the family Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
