Obituary of Anna Luisa Filannino

Anna Luisa D'Osualdo Filannino, age 83, beloved wife of Nicholas Filannino of Shelton passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home. Born in Udine, Italy on January 21, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Teresa Lazzari D'Osualdo and was a longtime resident of Shelton. Anna enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, painting, needlework and knitting. She loved all animals especially dogs. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband Nicholas of 58 years, survivors include three loving children, Jacqueline Ferri and her husband Thomas B. of Trumbull, Nicolette Klein and her husband Stephen of Pelham, NY and John Paul Filannino and his wife Nicole of South Salem, NY, and six grandchildren, Julianna, Gabriella, Thomas James, Angelica, Nicholas and Alessandra as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Maria Angela Smith and a brother, Giannino D'Osualdo.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
