Obituary of Julieta Jardim Pontes

Julieta Jardim Pontes, age 85, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Francisco Costa Pontes. Born in Lubango, Angola on August 25, 1928 she was a daughter of the late Manuel Afonso and Virginia Rodrigues Jardim. Survivors include her children, Carla Martins and her husband John and Heitor Pontes and his wife Josefina, five grandchildren, Bernardo Pontes and his wife Ayumi, Alicia Pontes, Victor Pontes, Sonia Martins and Sean Martins, two great granddaughters, Alisa and Lina Pontes, nephews and nieces, Heitor Brenha and his wife Angelina, Christina Hennessy and her husband Sean, Philip Brenha and his wife Rachel and their daughter Julia, Sandra Brenha, Sarah Brenha, Deusa Hughes and her husband Kevin and their children Deusa and Brendan. She was the presence in every room and was the one person that everyone had to kiss hello and goodbye. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial.
