Obituary of Edward C. Fagan

Edward C. Fagan, age 85, beloved husband of the late Mareta Brennan Fagan, of Woodbridge and formerly of Trumbull and Trenton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2018 at his home. Born on August 8, 1933 in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward H. and Charlotte York Fagan.

Edward had a long career as an early pioneer of computer-based-training with both AT&T and GTE. He was also very active in his community having founded the Friends of the Library as well as the Cadwalader Heights Civic Association, both in Trenton, NJ. He was a cub-scout leader as well as a Eucharistic minister for the sick of his community.

Edward was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Woodbridge; he served the church in many capacities and was always there to support the parish and his "church family." He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and hearing about what everyone was doing. He enjoyed the many gatherings the family shared together; laughing and creating memories that would last forever. Edward had a gift of making everyone feel special. He was a loving husband to his wife of 58 years, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving children, Edward G. Fagan (Gary Wellbrock) of Trenton, NJ, Mark E. Fagan (Paul Templeton) of Orange CT, Eileen F. Rickel (William) of Woodbridge CT, Daniel P. Fagan (Michele) of Monroe CT, Brian C. Fagan (Frank Alberino) of Derby CT, and Bradford T. Heines (Teresa) of Shelton CT; 10 cherished grandchildren, Victoria and Richard Fagan, Mareta H. Arena (Angelo), Sarah Heines, Nicholas and Benjamin Rickel, and Sophia, Daniel, Amanda and Hannah Fagan; a great grandson, Carmine Arena; a sister Virginia Vereb and brother-in-law, Rudolph Girandola both of New Jersey, as well as several nieces and nephews.
