Obituary of Andrew Piccirillo

Andrew Piccirillo of Stratford, age 90, passed away in Prospect with his family on Sunday September 16, 2018. Beloved husband of Helen Stockman Piccirillo and son of the late James and Anna Theresa Kocsis Piccirillo, Sr., he was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and was later employed as auto mechanic foreman by the Town of Stratford until his retirement in 1990. A true "Mr. Fixit" in every sense of the term, he loved to repair anything and everything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to Andy's beloved wife of 66 years, he is survived by his loving children Sandra L. Piccirillo and her husband Ralph H. Anderson of Prospect and Thomas A. Piccirillo of Stratford; his brothers John Piccirillo (wife Shirley) of Stratford and Joseph Piccirillo (wife Phyllis) of Trumbull; his brother-in-law Edward Stockman (wife Dorothy) of Oxford and his sister-in-law Eleanor Moran of Milford and his sister-in-law Barbara Piccirillo of Milford ; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Carmella Kusheba and brothers Anthony, Michael, and James. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 21, 2018 at 11:00 am in Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Rd. in Trumbull. Interment with military honors will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 – 7 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd. in Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute http://www.cancerresearch.org.
