Obituary of Katherine C. Jankura

Katherine C. Jankura, age 86, of Bridgeport, a homemaker and lifelong resident of Bridgeport, died Sunday, June 27, 2004 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on September 1, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Rosali Caraglia Cosacchi. Mrs. Jankura was a member of the cabaret players at Our Lady of Grace Church, the Augustana Resident Association and past member of the Marian Guild at St. Charles Church. She was the wife of the late George J. Jankura.

Survivors include a daughter, Arlene Milford and her husband, Albert, of Bridgeport, former son-in-law, Allen Lagor, of Bridgeport, a close friend, Oscar Santos (The Tall One) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph and Peter Cosacchi. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
