Obituary of Elizabeth P. Kruzick

Elizabeth P. Kruzick, age 90, resident of Trumbull, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on September 3, 2018. She was born in September of 1927 in Ranshaw, PA to the late Frank and Nellie Novey.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Anthony T. Kruzick.  She married Tony on June 21, 1952 after his graduation from Bucknell University and employment with General Electric.

She is survived by her four loving children, Sharon Ferguson and her husband Richard, Michael Kruzick and his wife Carole, Diane Becker and her husband Greg, Tony Kruzick and his wife Karyn.  She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband Carter, Matthew, Kelly and her husband Michael, Stephanie, Andrew, Katheryn, Daniel and Brian, and her great granddaughter Charlotte. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph and sister Dorothy.

She was known as Betty to her family and friends.  She graduated from Coal Township High School in 1946, where she was very active in many programs including drama, dance and theatrical plays. She retired from Macy's after many happy years as a successful sales associate.  She loved to play Bingo and said, “HAPPINESS is yelling BINGO.”  She spent winter vacations in Florida where she made numerous close friends.  Betty loved the beach and sunshine. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Nothing made her happier than having her house full of family during the holidays.

Her family would personally like to thank each and every caregiver as well as the chaplain from the Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut.  They excelled in their care of my wife during these extremely difficult and sad times.

Elizabeth’s family will receive sympathy and condolences on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or to Visiting Nurse Services of CT, Hospice at Home, 12 Cambridge Dr., Trumbull, CT 06611.
