Obituary of Antonio Fernandes Lourenco

Antonio Fernandes Lourenco, age 65, of Shelton, beloved husband of Maria Estela DaSilva Lourenco, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Born on May 7, 1953 in Valdosende, Terras de Bouro, Portugal, he was a son of the late Armenio Lourenco and Deolinda Maria Fernandes Lourenco.

Antonio was a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He could often be found in the yard playing soccer with them. He treasured Thursday night dinners at home; when the family all got together, and they would share stories and enjoy laughter all night. He was a member of the Vasco da Gama Club and loved the Beatles. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 39 years, Maria, survivors include two loving children, Daniel Lourenco and his wife Michelle of Stratford and Diane Lourenco and fiancé Carlos Rodriguez of Shelton, two cherished grandchildren, Mia Lourenco and Jordan Lourenco Rodriguez, four brothers, Jose, Manuel and Domingos Lourenco all of Shelton and Armenio Lourenco of Stratford, a sister, Ana Lourenco Magalhaes of Portugal, brother-in-law Amandio DaSilva and his wife Elizabete of Bridgeport, as well several additional brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Adelino Lourenco.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m.
