Obituary of Irene L. Tippett

Irene Brake Tippett, age 77, of Middletown and formerly of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Jack E. Tippett, Jr., passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Water’s Edge Center, Middletown. Born in Athens, Georgia on August 21, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Roger Sr., and Martha Poss Brake.

 

Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who cared deeply for her family and will be missed by all who loved her.

 

Survivors include four children, Tracey Tippett and Todd Tippett, both of Seymour, Terry Tippett and his wife Donna of Middletown and Tammy Belles and her husband Craig of Webster, NY, five grandchildren, Rachel Irizarry and her husband Daybar, Chelsey, Alexander and Matthew Belles and Lauren Lavin, four great grandchildren, Harris, Martie, Brooks and Welles, a brother, Edwin Brake, two sisters, Debi Ward and her husband Rich and Tina Koeing and her husband Fred, a sister-in-law, Eleanor Brake, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Roger Brake Jr.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.  Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4–7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
