Obituary of Linda Rose LaRussa

Linda Rose Mannino LaRussa, age 73, of Stratford, beloved wife of Clement LaRussa Sr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on January 28, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Erbella Politano Mannino. Linda enjoyed playing bingo, was an avid fan of the N. Y. Giants and loved to watch the WWE. She played an instrumental part in the local campaign of former President Barack Obama. Linda was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured time with her family and will be deeply missed by all. In addition to her beloved husband of 50 years Clement, survivors include three loving children, two sons, Clement LaRussa Jr. of Wolcott and Andrew LaRussa of Stratford and a daughter, Michelle Haydu-Rivera of Stratford, five cherished grandchildren, Amanda Haydu, Nathaniel Haydu, Emilie Silverman, Alexandrea Rivera and Jayden Rivera, a sister, Angela DeClemente of GA, her special niece, Lisa Porto and two godsons, Frank Gargiulo and Gerald DeClemente who helped care for her, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Vivian Sumyk. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
