Obituary of Rosemary A. Konecky

Rosemary Carcare Konecky, age 84, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Edward T. Konecky, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 6, 1933 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Carcare and Josephine Federico. Rosemary enjoyed a successful career and after earning a Master's Degree in social work from Fordham University attained the position of head of social services at St. Joseph's Manor in Trumbull. A Trumbull resident since 1967, she kept busy with many activities. Being a very talented artist she specialized in oils and was a member of the CT Classic Artist Club. She was an avid reader and frequented the Trumbull Library and book clubs. She enjoyed many social activities with friends at the YMCA and The Red Hatters Society. She found her greatest pleasure in her role as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include five children, Judy Holloway of Terryville, Robin Brewster and husband David of Shelton, Frank Konecky and wife, Kathleen, Sheryl Coe and husband, Jeff, all of Trumbull and Rosemary Konecky-Waibel and husband Michael of Cheshire, 13 grandchildren, Diana, Dan, Rich, Ryan, Becky, Nicholas, Justine, Nathan, Lauren, Gregory, Julia, Emily and Erika, and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lawrence, Jerry and Louis. A memorial gathering celebrating Rosemary's life will take place on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A graveside service will take place on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. directly in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
