Obituary of Kenneth C. Turechek

Kenneth C. Turechek, age 62, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Bridgeport Manor. Born in Bridgeport on December 5, 1955, he was a son of Peter J. Turechek of Bridgeport and the late Frances A. Wondell Turechek. Ken had been employed by General Electric Company, where he dedicated many years of faithful service in various departments. He was an avid fisherman, but his greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent with his family. A loving and devoted son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, Peter, other survivors include his loving daughters, Tanya Potts of Crossville, TN and Holly Waligora and her husband Eric of Naples, FL, his eight cherished grandchildren, Bryannah, Christopher, Gunner, Grace, Jack, Blake, Hope and Brooke, his two brothers, David P. Turechek and his wife Sherry of Shelton and Paul S. Turechek of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1255 East Main St., Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
