Obituary of MaryAnn Duda

MaryAnn Duda, age 55, of Shelton, beloved daughter of Anna Molitoris Duda and the

late Andrew Duda, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 surrounded

by her family. MaryAnn was born in Bridgeport on March 11, 1962. She earned her

Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Bridgeport and was a former analyst for the

Bob’s Stores Headquarters in Meriden.

MaryAnn was a kind and loving person; she was always there to lend a helping hand to

anyone in need and always put everyone’s needs before her own. She truly loved

spending time with her family; especially her nephew Andrew, who she cared for and

loved very much. She found great joy in going to his hockey games and cheering him

on. He was the sparkle in her eyes and the sparkle in her heart. She will also be greatly

missed by Christian Szokolay of Slovakia who over the years had become like a son to

her. The unconditional love she provided and memories created will always live on in

their hearts. MaryAnn will be sadly missed by all.

In addition to her mother, Anna, survivors include her devoted sister, Kim Lee Stribling

and her husband David of Kensington, a cherished nephew, Andrew John Stribling,

uncles, John Duda and his wife Betty and Thomas Duda and his wife Helen all of

Bridgeport, Aunt Anna Molitoris of Shelton as well as several cousins and their

children, godchildren and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

directly in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment

will be held at a later date in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton.
