Obituary of Joseph J. Sagliano

Joseph J. Sagliano, age 67, of Oxford and formerly of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Wolcott View Manor, Wolcott. Born in Bridgeport on July 4, 1950, he was a son of the late Joseph S. and Virginia Verdi Sagliano. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, having served honorably during the Vietnam War. He began his working career at Sikorsky Aircraft before becoming a salesman for the Bruckner Corporation of New York, where he accumulated 25 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and was a lover of all types of music. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Joseph E. Sagliano, III and his wife Tara of Oakville, two cherished grandchildren, Joshua and Peyton Sagliano, his brothers and sister, Kenneth J. Sagliano and his wife Jacqueline of Oxford, John M. Sagliano and his wife Leah of Shelton and Diane M. Martin of Trumbull, as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
