Obituary of John Viselli

John Viselli, age 65 of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born on July 6, 1952 in Strangolagalli, Province of Frosinone, Italy, John was the son of the late Angelo Viselli and Cesina Mollica Viselli. He was employed as a machinist at Bridgeport Machines and later worked in the construction business. John was a free spirit and was most happy when outdoors, either when in the woods or fishing onboard his boat. Many times he was in the company of his loyal canine companion. He also had a green thumb and followed in his parent's footsteps by planting a large vegetable garden every year. Many enjoyed the fruit of his labor and his generosity. John was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed being with family and having a good laugh. He always departed with the words "have a good one". He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

John is survived by his brothers, Perry Viselli and his wife Noreen of Shelton and Benny Viselli and his wife Lena of Fairfield; his nieces and nephews, Marc Viselli, David Viselli, Lauren Abriola, Maurizio Viselli, and Melissa Viselli; as well as seven great nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his only sister, Andreina Viselli.

Friends can greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
