Obituary of Rafael Ferreira Dos Santos

Rafael Ferreira dos Santos, 79, beloved husband of Maria Fernandes Rodrigues dos Santos, passed away on Sunday June 11, 2017 in Chaves Portugal. Born on October 15, 1937 in Ardaos, Boticas, Portugal he was a son of the late Joaquim dos Santos and Cilvana Ferreira dos Santos. Rafael was a long-time resident of Bridgeport before returning to Portugal in 1999. He was a member of the Laborers International Union Local 665 for over 25 years. Rafael was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Maria, survivors include two loving children, Paul dos Santos and his wife Jamie of Seymour and Donna dos Santos of Pinellas Park, FL, two cherished grandchildren, Zachary and Brandon, a brother Jose dos Santos of Portugal, two sisters Rosalina dos Santos of Portugal and Ana dos Santos of Brazil, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Road, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m.
