Obituary of Maxine K. Murray

Maxine K. Murray, age 89, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Donald G. Murray. Born Eileen Dorothy Kell in Winter Haven, FL on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Hilda Morley Kell. Her faith was extremely important to her and evident in her active membership of Christ Episcopal Church in Tashua. Maxine also was a member of the Easton Senior Center, where she built many friendships and enjoyed playing dominoes with her friends. Her greatest enjoyment however, was found in the time she spent with her grandchildren. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother sister and aunt, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her beloved husband Donald of 65 years, other survivors include her loving son, Ross Murray and his wife Sharon of Trumbull, two cherished grandchildren, Jillian and Gregory Murray, her brother, William Kell and his wife Joan of Milford, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marjorie Rickel and Louise Behn and a brother, Harry Kell. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in Christ Episcopal Church Tashua, 5170 Madison Ave., Trumbull. At Maxine's request, there will be no calling hours.
