Obituary of John C. Horvath

U. S. Army Veteran John C. Horvath, age 85, of Monroe, beloved husband of the late Mary Scalzi Horvath, died on Friday, November 25, 2011 in St. Josephs Manor. Born in Bridgeport on May 19, 1926, he was a son of the late Stephen and Barbara Csicsek Horvath and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a manager in the electrical engineering department of Harvey Hubbell for over 45 years before his retirement and a member of the Trumbull VFW. Survivors include his daughter, Kathryn Horvath of Monroe as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was pre-deceased by two brothers, Stephen and Joseph Horvath, a sister, Mary Horvath and two nieces, Barbara Principi and Marion Horvath. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
