Obituary of Edward J. Holler

Edward J. Holler Sr., age 85, of Shelton, died suddenly on Sunday, February 14, 2010. Born in West New York, New Jersey on June 18, 1924, he was a son of the late Frederick W. and Janet Hall Holler. A U.S. Army veteran, he served his country in both World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Holler was a graduate of Georgia Tech where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and was a retired member of Local 3 I.B.E.W. for 68 years; where he supervised many large projects including Madison Square Garden and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. He was the Member President of the Shelton Senior Center and also volunteered at the Derby Senior Center. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Anna L. Ivy Holler. Survivors include his devoted son Edward J. Holler Jr., and his wife Colleen of Shelton, three cherished grandchildren, Michael, Maeve and Monica, a brother, Richard G. Holler and his wife Irene of Holmdel, NJ as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
