Obituary of Walter R. Flathers, III.

Walter R. Flathers III, age 47, of Shelton, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Griffin Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on September 3, 1969, he was a son of Walter R. Flathers Jr. of Naugatuck and the late Sharon Flathers. A huge car and motorcycle enthusiast, Walt worked as a mechanic for many shops over the years. A lover of good food, you could always find him sharing a great story over a meal, especially a good pizza. In addition to his father, Walter Flathers Jr., he is survived by his brother, Christopher Flathers and his two nephews, Anthony and Jason and many cousins and friends. A prayer service will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Friends can greet the family members Thursday from 11 a.m. until the start of services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
