Obituary of Vincent P. Cingari, Jr.

Vincent P. Cingari, Jr., age 78, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Nancy Aurilio Cingari, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. He was born in Bridgeport on September 22, 1938. Mr. Cingari was a self-employed contractor and skilled craftsman by trade and had retired sixteen years ago. He was also a member of the National Guard 242nd Battalion for many years. Vinny was a member of the former Trumbull Italian Community Club, an avid bowler with the league at Christ the King Church and also an accomplished marksman. A car enthusiast, he also enjoyed attending car shows with his Cadillac and Corvette. He also spent many hours watching Westerns on TV. However, his greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. His family was the center of his life. He was well liked by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. In addition to his beloved wife of 56 years, Nancy, survivors include three daughters, Donna Szulimowski and her husband Chet, Deborah Collier and her husband David Sr. and Lisa Picone and her husband Thomas, all of Trumbull, six grandchildren, David Jr. and Kylie Collier, Ryan and Kendall Szulimowski and Ashley and Christopher Picone. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Cingari and a grandson, Nicholas Picone. Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
