Obituary of Robert D. Ovens Jr.

Robert David Ovens Jr, age 61, of Bridgeport, born January 22, 1955 passed away suddenly on November 1, 2016 at Griffin Hospital due to medical complications. He was a lifelong Bridgeport, resident and he loved going to antique car shows and to the park. He is survived by his parents, Robert D Ovens Sr., and Carmela (Lee) Merola Ovens of Bridgeport, CT, daughter Stephanie Ovens of Derby, CT, son Robert D Ovens III and wife Heather Ovens, and granddaughter, Olivia Ovens of Milford, CT. He is also survived by his sister Gloria Carey and husband Daniel Carey of Oxford, CT, sister Sharon Coling and husband Howard Coling of Seymour, CT, niece Sarah DiMaio and husband Robert DiMaio, and great nephew Liam Dimaio of Meriden, CT, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his nephew Vincent Carey. Prayer services will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may to the family through the funeral director.
