Obituary of Enso J. Maleri

Enso "Joe" Maleri, age 88, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Rosemarie Saracino Maleri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on August 12, 1928, he was a son of the late Mario and Ida Mattioli Maleri. A U.S. Navy veteran, Joe earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Bridgeport. He retired from Perkin-Elmer Corporation, having worked for many years as a mechanical engineer. He also taught drafting classes in the evening to other aspiring engineers at Porter and Chester Institute in Stratford. After retiring from his career as an engineer, he went on to pursue his passion for photography by starting his own wedding photography business. He took great pride in capturing these special moments for all of his clients. But above all of these things, he was a dedicated father and grandfather. He loved to spend time with his family and the memories they shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Survivors include four devoted children, Laura Kaelin and her husband Bill of Naugatuck, John Maleri and his wife Wendy of Hawthorne, N.Y., Diane Gottschalk and her husband Paul of Shelton and Glen Maleri and his wife Michele of Shelton; seven cherished grandchildren, Greg, Dana, Liza, Tommy, Rachel, Carley and Marc, as well as his sister in law, Bruna Maleri and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Elio, Carl and John Maleri. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial.
