I was so very saddened to read today of Betty's passing. My parents, Stan and Jenny Salerno, loved Betty and Jim, and enjoyed socializing and vacationing with them for many years. Betty's smile could light up a room, and I remember her as always pleasant, happy and ready for a fun time! I would like to think that the four of them are reunited in heaven, telling stories and jokes over a cocktail! My sincere condolences to the family.

Betty was always so sweet-natured, fun, calm, a sincere friend and fabulous aunt to my 3 kids. When I lived on Columbus Avenue across the street from her, she would stop by after her job at House of Spirits and my kids would line up for their very special Aunt Betty kisses and hugs. They would squeal with delight. It has been an honor to know Betty Mooney.

Mooney Family, you were so blessed with two amazing, loving, and beautiful parents/grandparents. I can't imagine how difficult these past two decades have been for you with the two of them battling two separate illnesses.
