Obituary of Julia Ann Hare

Resident of Monroe Julia Ann Julie (Giampaolo) Hare, age 75, of Monroe, beloved wife of Robert Mickey Hare, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, with her family by her side. Julie was born on December 11, 1934 to Susan (Nicholas) and Nicholas Giampaolo of Bridgeport, and lived there until moving to Monroe in the 1960s. Julie lived a life filled with family, love and humor, and made friends everywhere she went. Always a people person, Julie was ready to help whenever called upon, whether it was planning a Little League fundraiser, becoming a teachers aide at her childrens schools, or helping a friend or family member through a difficult time. Her home was always open to anyone and everyone, especially her childrens friends, many of whom she treated as if they were her own. Julie will probably be most remembered for her fashion sense, which after raising her family, led to a career selling fine jewelry at Filenes in Trumbull. She left an impact on everyone she met, and will be missed by all her knew her. In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her three children and their spouses, Gary and Christine Hare of Shelton, Brian and Beth Hare, of Oxford, Beth Anne Hare and Ralph Pisani, of Monroe; her six grandchildren Melanie, Taylor, Morgan, Matthew, Shawn and Melissa, who were loved and entertained by Grandma since they were babies; her sister Rita Olayos of Trumbull, brother John and sister in law Shirley Giampaolo of Monroe, sister Susan and brother in law Ray Senes, also of Monroe; sister-in law Barbara Hare of New Haven; and her many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law William Hare, James Mindy Olayos and Robert Alechnowicz. The family also offers special thanks to the dedicated staff of the Cedar Unit at Gardner Heights in Shelton for the tremendous care they provided to Julie during her illness. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial.
