Obituary of Joan T. McCarn

Joan T. Bartimole McCarn, age 74, died peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2015. She is predeceased by her husband Bill McCarn. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Lucas and her granddaughter, Isabella Lucas; her stepchildren Allison Larkin, Jeff Licitra, and Robin Licitra; her two nieces Terri Laughner and Tina Dent; her surrogate son Rob Antonowicz; and five other special people in her life, Katina, Darris, MaKailyn, Alexander, and Donald; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and uncles. Joan is predeceased by her parents, Ledger and Antoinette Stanziale Bartimole, sons David and Scott, and a brother Lenny. She was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and ran Joan's Catering at the Marchegiana Club for 50 years. She was a very fierce and loving woman. Joan was loved by everyone that knew her and touched too many lives to mention. She will be painfully missed by all who knew her. Friends are invited to meet directly in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 for a graveside service and to a gathering at her home immediately following. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
