Chuck, it was great fun knowing you. You were such a colorful character in our youth. My former husband, (deceased), Robert (Bob) Callahan, 4Hggdalso always enjoyed your company and great sense of humor. You were the most handsome of the whole group and I'm sure one of the smartest. My son, Michael John Callahan, also died of ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease just like your beloved brother Johnny. In my book, the two of them were the greatest heroes ever. I can related to Mary, Johnny's wife, about watching a loved one suffer so much. I hope you and Johnny and Michael and Bob are all together having a great time in heaven and praying for us.

I knew Chuck and his wife Marji as clients/friends from when I worked at Ritz Camera in the Trumbull Mall. I keep in touch with them and we still talk about the trip to China and the over 1500 pictures that were taken. They were great photographers as well as being great people. My prayers go out to the family at this rough time in their lives. He will be missed.

Dad, I know you will always be with me guiding me on our journey. You may be gone from this earth, but you are nearby. Keith knows you will be beside him on every mountain he conquers. You taught me to never give up and get back on that snowmobile!! Love your daughter, D

I noticed Chuck's Obituary in the NY Times. My condolences to his family.
I knew Chuck from serving with him in the NY National Guard. In fact, I bought my first Life Insurance Policy from him there.
He was respected by my entire Guard unit for his enthusiasm and professionalism.
Over the years, I lost touch with Chuck but always remembered his example of caring for his Customers and their Best interests. NY Life has lost a fine, fine professional and leader.
On behalf of our entire Guard Unit may I express our Condolences.
He will be missed.

Dear Margie and family,
I wanted to express my deep sympathy at the loss of Chuck. Chuck had such a great way about him, always put everyone at ease and was just the best host, I loved when we had the family parties and he would shoot the canyon off. On my last visit, he took me for a ride all over his property and I really enjoyed it.
Chuck was very lucky to have you Margie, you were a wonderful wife, I know you will miss him so much, he truly wa a great guy.
My love to you and your family,
Diane

I am so sorry to hear about Chuck's passing. He was a wonderful friend to my parents as well as myself and always had time for us whether it was business or just talking. we are 3000 miles away in LA but I feel as if we had just talked a few months ago. his life as a an extraordinary executive / salesperson and his love of the outdoors made him special to all those who knew him. His life was "big" as was his heart ... take care... love from the Winicks

Dear Margie and Families,
Our sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Chuck was a great man who was loved and respected by all of us. His unique personality and sense of humor were the gifts he shared with us. He loved his family, extended family and his endless list of friends and colleagues.
We have a lot of fun memories from the 4th of July celebrations in Easton with the boom of his old cannon to the Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts Margie prepared and we all feasted on! His trophy room was a tribute to the great hunter and avid sportsman he was and hopefully the treasures will be shared with others.
We will miss him so much. We thank him for his gift of life and for sharing his life stories and experiences with us.
Love and thanks to Margie for her endless love, dedication, care and support of Chuck throughout his life.

Margery: Chuck was the most proficient Elk Hunter that ever lived . I know, I scored his Elk, that made the Book. He was focused on hunting that animal, and no others more than anyone I ever knew. He and I would talk for hours about his Elk hunts and guns. I grieve with you, as he has gone before his time, but feel that he lived the life as he wanted, with you by his side. I have always admired the quotation from the Greek Poet Sophocles, " One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been"
God Bless You,
Bernie

The lives that were touched by Chuck certainly were made richer in different ways. He had a unique way of making a person feel special in his presence. I thank him for that.
My condolences go out to you all. I hope that at some time in the near future the tears that you presently shed are replaced by smiles upon remembering all the joy he brought into your lives.
Thank you for sharing such a great person as you did.
Rest In Peace Chuck

To the family of Chuck,
My sincere condolences go out to the family. I have never met Chuck but have such deep emotions to his passing. He was so loved by the New York Life family. Everyone speak so highly of him. During the many phone conversions we had I can see why he was so loved. He was so lucky to have a wonderful wife by his side. She showed such grace and dedication. Please know that he will always be a part of me and I share your pain during this time of sorrow. I wish I had the chance to meet him, even once.
