Obituary of Richard C. Timko

Richard C. Timko, age 81, beloved husband of Marion Martone Timko of Newtown, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the River Glen Health Care Center with his loving family at his side. Born in Bridgeport on May 22, 1934, he was a son of the late John and Irene Lisnay Timko. Before his retirement, Mr. Timko was a dairy man with Beechmont Dairy and Marcus Dairy and later was employed with Pepperidge Farm. Richard was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a special love for music. In addition to his wife Marion of 53 years, survivors include two daughters, Dawn Olson of Newtown and Dori Boucher and her husband Francis of Bethel, a brother, Edward Timko and his wife Beverly of Fairfield, five grandchildren, Jade, Jordin and Jerica Olson, Ryan and Jamie Boucher and two great grandchildren, Angel and Rylee as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, John Timko. The family would like to thank the staff at River Glen Nursing Home for all the care and compassion they gave to Richard. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Newtown Village Cemetery, Newtown. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
