Shelton Resident HALAPIN- Mary (Mae) Kovach Halapin, age 81, of Shelton , a retired employee of Bentley Gardens and former employee of Savoy Linen, died on Saturday, January 28, 2006, in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Swoyersville, PA on July 14, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Benny Kovach. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 52 years, Bernard J. Halapin, a brother, Michael (Moe) Kovach, a sister, Veronica Firer and a grandson, Thomas Halapin. Survivors include three sons, Bernard M. Halapin and his fiance, Donna Grudetski of Derby, Raymond J. Halapin of Shelton and Richard D. Halapin and his wife, Sue of Shelton, a daughter, Rosemary E. Ayhens and her husband, Kenneth (Randy) of West Haven, three brothers, John Kovach of Beacon Falls, Steve Kovach of Arkansas and Robert Kovach of Oxford, three sisters, Teresa Cunningham of Bridgeport, Ann Card of North Haven and Dorothy Cavaliere of Trumbull, two aunts Helen Beky and Mary Benny both of PA., 11 grandchildren, Bernard Halapin, Jr., and his wife Vanessa, Daniel Halapin, Stacey Moyer and her husband, Jason, Raymond Halapin, Jr., Michael Halapin and his wife, Sandra, Richard Halapin, Jr., Melissa Saad and her husband, Keith, Heidi Salvati and her husband, Michael, Denise Esteves and her husband, Robert, Kathleen Valvo and her husband, Salvatore and John Ayhens and his wife, Marley, 22 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter, Kacydi Brewer and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 10 AM in Calvary Evangelical Free Church, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
