Obituary of Shokat Haghighat

Resident of Derby Shokat Haghighat, age 66 of Derby, died on Thursday, December 3rd in her home. Born in Tehran, Iran on October 12,1943, she was the daughter of the late Habibola and Robabeh Haghighat. She was a resident of Trumbull, Connecticut for 20 years and the last two years a resident of Derby, Connecticut. She had been married to the late Ali Najafzadeh, General in the Shah of Iran's Army, Head Director of Art and Agriculture of several cities in Iran as a Music Instructor and Conductor of Music, in Tehran's Symphony Orchestra Their marriage resulted in the birth of three children. She owned a Hair Salon in Tehran called "Isabella Salon". Shokat was a pleasant person and her clients remember her most as the best cook in town. Her enjoyment in life was to have her family together and to cook for them. Shokat remains dear to the hearts of all who knew her. Survirors include her loving daughter Soheila Najafzadeh, her son Kambiz Najafzadeh and daughter-in-law AnnaMaria, her son Kamyar Najafzadeh, granddaughter Dominique and several brothers and sisters and cousins (The families of Haghighat, Sanayie, Khayategadim, Porgolizadeh, in Tehran and Canada, and her dear friend Tehranchian. Funeral Information Friends may greet the family on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 3-7 pm in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Monday at 10:00 am at funeral home, 10:30 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniel's Farm Road, Trumbull.
