Obituary of Donna Jean Paoletta

Donna Jean Paoletta, age 73, of Bridgeport, beloved sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, Wallingford, surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport on August 7, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Silvio and Jennie Scinto Paoletta. Donna was a customer service associate and retired from Hoffman Fuel with 48 years of dedicated service. A graduate of Warren Harding High School, she was a devoted parishioner of Holy Rosary Church and St. Margaret Shrine. She volunteered at every St. Anthony Feast at Holy Rosary, was a member of the St. Theresa Ladies Guild and the Columbiettes. Donna was a kind and loving person who was always available to help anyone in need. Above all, she was a loving sister and aunt who cared for and loved her family deeply. Survivors include two brothers, Joseph A. Paoletta of Fairfield and Former Bridgeport Mayor, Leonard S. Paoletta and his wife Dorothea of Easton, godmother, Dolores Pellegrino of Milford, nieces and nephews, Hugh, Joseph, Andrea, Mark and Paul Paoletta, Gianine Craw, Leonard Jr., and T.J. Paoletta, Dea Auray, Monica McDonald and Donna Jones, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Gresh. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
