Obituary of Edward J. Taylor

Edward J. Taylor, age 86, of Hamden and formerly of Clearwater, Florida, died on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at St. Joseph Manor, Trumbull. Born in West Haven on June 11, 1928, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Marie Hile Taylor. A U.S. Marine Corps., he was a retired truck driver for Teamsters Local 443. Ed was a dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed time with his family and a good game of cards. He was predeceased by his three wives, Jeannette O'Connor Taylor, Maryann Ryan Taylor and Catherine Early Taylor, brother Robert Taylor, sisters, Alice Bellmore and Madeline "Cookie" Brown. Survivors include his children, Thomas J. Taylor and his wife Cathleen of Trumbull and Deborah Evarts of FL, a sister, Sandra Reynolds and her husband Charles of West Haven, six grandchildren, Thomas, Christopher and Megan Taylor, Tricia Evarts Faber, Jason Evarts and Kristin Damast, four great grandchildren, Dylan Faber, Max Evarts and Paige and Blake Damast, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
